As I was scrolling through Instagram the other night I came across an advertisement for a new mobile game. Upon further inspection the game was by no means brand new, it had been out for about two months but that is besides the point. Usually when I see an advertisement for a new mobile game I ignore it because 9/10 times the game sucks; but this game was different. The game in the advertisement I saw was Ice Racing.io by Voodoo and downloading it was the best decision I made this week.

Ice Racing.io is a .io style game that reminds me of the game Fun Run but without the weird weapons and complicated maps. I appreciate the simplicity of the game Ice Racing.io and so do many other players. All you have to do is tap to jump over opponents. There is some strategy to the game but I will discuss that in another article.

I first noticed that some players get a big boost at the beginning and shoot into first place, leaving me in the dust. I was sort of annoyed by this because I could not for the life of me figure out how to get this head start.

Players who get a head start will have a yellow fire around them before the race starts. Then once the race starts they all jump ahead instantly which will give them a slight advantage at the beginning of the race. You can do this too very easily.

To get a boost at the beginning of Ice Racing.io you will have to tap the yellow button that reads “start with a boost” which is below the normal start button. When you tap this button the race will start like normal but you will get a bonus. The downside to this method is that you will have to watch a short ad.

So the best way to get a boost at the beginning of the race in the game Ice Race.io is to watch an advertisement at the beginning. We can all agree that watching advertisements is no fun. Unfortunately the only way to go faster at the beginning of the race is to watch the ad.

There is a way to get somewhat of a boost after the race has started. To get a small boost you must try to get one of your opponents to bump into your back. The larger and faster the opponent that bumps your backside is traveling, the bigger boost you will get. Getting this sort of boost is key to winning every race but will not give you as much of a boost as watching the ad at the beginning
