Dr. Mario World Game Guide
Nintendo has released a number of mobile games in the past but they have not been successful as they would have hoped. This is due to their high price tag and the inability to play the entire game for free. Their debut mobile game Super Mario Run rocketed to the top of the free game rankings for about a week before players found out that they had to pay to play more than the first few levels.
The most recent mobile game release from Nintendo is the game Dr. Mario World and let me tell you what… This game is the next big thing in mobile gaming. Think Candy Crush combined with Angry Birds with elements of Clash of Clans with the characters from Super Mario. Yeah, it is a great game. It could very well be the next Candy Crush Saga.

Dr. Mario World is one of the most intriguing games of 2019. This game provides players with plenty of different objectives that keep them engaged and interested. You can unlock new power ups, new characters, new areas and even choose between two different game modes; story and versus. This game is serious fun. Even if you are not a big fan of Nintendo or the Super Mario world, you will enjoy this game!

How hard is the game?
The game is not difficult to play as much as it is challenging. The objectives in both story mode and versus mode are simple enough however at times fitting the capsules together in time to get rid of the viruses can make you want to pull your hair out!
Addictiveness
How addictive is this game?
If you do not want to be playing a game for hours on end this summer this is not the game for you. After playing for what I thought was only ten minutes I checked the clock to find out that I had been playing Dr. Mario World for over an hour. This game is a great time killer and seems like it is going to be the most addictive game of the summer in 2019!
How to Play The Mobile Game Dr. Mario World!
There are two different game modes in the game Dr. Mario World. The first one we will go over is the default story mode which consists of different levels. further down this page we will go over how to play versus mode in the game Dr. Mario World.
The basic premise of the game Dr. Mario World is that different colored viruses are causing problems in different areas. To stop them you must use different capsules to destroy them. Each level has different configurations of viruses and blocks arranged on a game board. When you place a capsule onto the game board it will begin to rise upwards. As it rises you can tap on it to rotate the capsule so that the colors match with the virus. The capsule consists of two sides which can be different colors or the same colors. You must situate the capsule so that wen it reaches the viruses, the colors match. Match three or more of the same color together either horizontally or vertically and the viruses will be destroyed. Once all the viruses have been destroyed you will move on to the next level. It is important that you use your capsules wisely because you only have a certain amount. You can see how many capsules you have left in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
How to Unlock Different Characters in Dr. Mario World
You have the choice of a few different doctors that can be unlocked in the personnel tab at the bottom of the home screen. When you go to this tab you toad will help walk you through the steps of how to unlock new doctors or characters. To unlock a new character you must have at least 4,000 coins. You can also use gems but keep in mind you have to pay real money to get gems.
Each doctor has different skill or power that can be utilized when playing a level. For example, Bowser’s skill is to eliminate two random rows from the game board while Princess Peach’s skill is to eliminate a random column from the game board. Some people have asked what the best doctor is in the game Dr. Mario World. In our opinion Bowser is the best character in the game Dr. Mario World.
What Do The Different Power Ups Do in The Game Dr. Mario World?
There are three different power ups you can use regardless of which doctor you are using in the game Dr. Mario World. When you are playing story mode they are located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Power ups cost diamonds. If you want to use power ups you will need to purchase diamonds in the store.
The first power up you will unlock is the hammer. This power up allows you to remove one item from the game board. This is handy if you have a virus that is hidden behind some backed up capsules.
The other power up in the game Dr. Mario World is the capsule blaster. This power up allows you to clear any capsules that are just lying around on the game board. Sometimes capsules may be blocking what you are trying to get to and it is necessary to remove them. This is when you will use the capsule blaster.
How to Play Versus Mode in Dr. Mario World
Versus mode in the game Dr. Mario World allows players to play against their friends or strangers online. This game mode is fun to play if you are in a competitive mood.
To play versus mode in Dr. Mario World you will tap the trophy icon in the lower right hand corner of the home screen that displays all the different levels. Once you tap this screen you can choose to play a versus match against a friend or against an online opponent.
Basically how versus mode works is you will be playing against another player to see who can fill up the other person’s screen with viruses first. Your screen will be a game board just like normal and in the upper right hand corner you will see a mini display of your opponents screen. Your goal is to eliminate the viruses from your screen as quickly as possible. When you fill up your bar in the upper left hand corner you will attack the opponent with viruses. Your attack will add more viruses to your opponents screen forcing the current contents of their screen toward the bottom. If you can force an element from their screen to the bottom row you win.
What makes this difficult is that the opponent is trying to do the same thing to you. It is basically a race to see who can eliminate the most viruses fastest. A quick tip to help you win more versus matches in the game Dr. Mario World is to try to eliminate the viruses closest to the bottom of your screen first. If you focus on the viruses on the top of the screen first you will end up loosing for sure. If you are to be successful in the game Dr. Mario World it is vital that you use your capsules wisely. You may ask yourself, how can I possibly use my capsules wisely, there is only so much I can do… Here is what can help you, always plan one step ahead.
When you have a two colored capsule it is possible to place it in such a way that one color will eliminate one row or column of viruses, then the other side will fall perfectly to where it will eliminate a row of viruses that are the matching color. If you can knock out two birds with one stone, do it!
Tip 2 – Split Your Capsules
A tip or cheat that is very valuable to learn in the game Dr. Mario World is splitting capsules. It is possible to split a multi colored capsule apart and place each end somewhere completely different. It is not always possible but if you do it correctly from the beginning of the level it can be done almost every time.

When you play the first 20 levels in the game Dr. Mario World you are spoiled with unlimited hearts or lives. Once you move on to the second area, you have a maximum of five lives or hearts. Every time you attempt a level you use a heart. If you fail the level you loose the heart but if you succeed you get it back.
If you run out of red hearts in the game Dr. Mario World you won’t be able to attempt any more levels until you get more. There are two different ways to get more hearts in the game Dr. Mario World. Both methods are sort of frustrating but they are the only way to get more lives.
The first way to get more hearts in Dr. Mario World is to wait it out. Your hearts replenish at a rate of one heart every thirty minutes. So every thirty minutes you get another heart which, could last you a long time if you don’t fail any levels. Waiting can suck so here is how you can get hearts without waiting.

But if you are dedicated to beating all the levels in the game, it is a sacrifice that may be worth it for you.

As of now it is unclear exactly how many stages or levels are in the game Dr. Mario World. Until someone manages to beat all of the levels and reach the end of the game, there is no way of knowing how many levels there are. We have reached out to Nintendo to see if they could provide us with the number of levels in Dr. Mario World but they were unable to provide us with anything. It is likely the case that Nintendo intends to continue adding new levels to the game Dr. Mario World.
When you reach a new area in Dr. Mario World the game has to download the new levels. Nintendo will probably just continue creating new levels faster than players can beat them; making it seem like there are infinite levels. It will be interesting to see how this game evolves and changes in the coming months and years.
