How to Choose a Different Map on Tornado.io

Tornado.io, although similar to most other .io style games has climbed the rankings to become the #2 free game on the App Store. I stumbled across the game Tornado.io a few weeks ago and have been addicted ever since. Along the way I have come across a few questions that were a struggle to find the answers to. One of the biggest questions Tornado.io players have had is “can I change the map on Tornado.io?”

Here is what I have found…

Of the different .io style games available today, Tornado.io is king. It may seem like Tornado.io is a knockoff of games like Hole.io and Big Big Baller; however, this game offers much more satisfying gameplay.

The object of the game in Tornado.io is to grow your tornado by navigating the map and destroying different things scattered across the map. As you destroy items you gain both points and size. The larger your tornado the more you can destroy, and the more points you can score just like in Big Big Baller. Ultimately, if you reach the max size you will be able to destroy anything on the map and score a ridiculous tornado.io high score! Whoever has the highest score at the end of the two minute round is the winner.

As you play more you will come to realize that some maps are easier to win on than others. For me personally, it is easiest to win on the construction zone map. Sometimes you will end up playing on a map that you can’t score as high on and you will end up loosing the game.

The question is can you choose which map you play in the game tornado.io?

Can You Change the Map on Tornado.io?

Tornado.io, like most other .io style games that are currently popular, has many different maps that you can play on. Unfortunately there is no way to choose which map you want to play at this time. This is sort of a let down as we have also noticed that Hole.io removed the ability to choose your map.

When you are at the home screen your only option is to start the game. Whichever map is on your home screen when you start the game is the map that you play. We have tried almost everything to find a way to select a different map from the home screen of Tornado.io but we were unsuccessful. We tried swiping across the screen and even tilting the device to the left or right. But nothing worked. We believe that a feature that allowed you to choose your map would be a great addition to the game Tornado.io.
