Woody Puzzle is one of the games that I play most consistently. The simplicity of the gameplay coupled with the struggle to beat my previous scores keeps me coming back to Woody Puzzle every single day. In my time playing Woody Puzzle I have figured out different tips and strategies that have helped me improve my high score.
How to Play Woody Puzzle
Woody Puzzle is a puzzle game that challenges you to fit blocks of different shapes onto a 10×10 grid. You are rewarded points for every row or column of blocks you eliminate from the board. The object of the game is to remove as many blocks from the board before the board becomes so cluttered with game blocks that you can’t fit one.
At the bottom of the screen there is a tray of three different pieces. You will have to get all three pieces on the board before you will get new ones. When you place the third piece on the game board, the tray at the bottom of the screen will be filled with three new pieces.
How to Put Pieces on The Board in The Game Woody Puzzle
Putting pieces on the board is super easy, unless your phone’s screen is broken. All you have to do is tap and hold on a piece in the tray then drag it to your desired spot on the game board. Once you release the block on the board it will snap into the grid. Later on I will share some Woody Puzzle tips that will help you place the pieces in the correct spots; believe it or not there is a strategy to placing the blocks on the game board.
How To Clear The Game Board in The Game Woody Puzzle
So points in the game Woody Puzzle are earned by clearing blocks off of the game board. To clear blocks you will have to fill an entire row or column with blocks. When there are ten blocks in a row either vertically or horizontally they will be cleared and you will receive points.
It is possible to end up with an empty board multiple times in a single game of Woody Puzzle. I will discuss how to do this below in the strategy section of this page.
How to Score Points in The Game Woody Puzzle! Are There Any Bonuses in The Game Woody Puzzle?
Many people wonder how the scoring system works in the game Woody Puzzle. It is actually very simple. For every piece you put down you are rewarded points. The number of points is determined by the number of square units the piece takes up. So the three by three piece would earn you nine points.
You are also rewarded points when you clear a row or column. For each row or column you eliminate by lining up ten units in a row, you will receive ten points. One point for each single unit eliminated from the game board.
Some players are curious if there is any sort of bonus rewarded for eliminating multiple rows and columns at the same time. The answer to this question is yes. There are bonuses in the game Woody Puzzle. If you clear multiple rows or columns at the same time you will receive bonus points. It is unclear what the bonus is exactly but we do know that if you clear more than one row or column at a time, you are rewarded with more points.
Below you will find some Woody Puzzle tips that will help you score higher in the game.
Woody Puzzle Tips and Strategies To Help You Score Higher! Get a Higher Score in Woody Puzzle!
As I mentioned earlier in this post, there are some different strategies you can use when playing Woody Puzzle that will result in higher scores and possibly even a world record high score. Below are the best Woody Puzzle tips to use when you play the game.
Where to Put Your First Blocks in Woody Puzzle
Setting up the game board from the very first move is very important if you want to get a high score. By setting up the game board I mean putting the first few pieces in the correct spots so that you set yourself up for success.
You are going to want to set the first few blocks as tight together as you can. If you scatter the pieces all over the board, chances are you will end up not being able to fit a piece in one of the random gaps later on. It is vital that you keep the blocks as tightly packed as possible. This will help you maintain smooth lines and ultimately achieve a higher score. Try to fit your pieces into one another as cleanly as possible, sort of like a puzzle. Now the name Woody Puzzle makes sense!
My next Woody Puzzle tip will build on the idea of maintaining clean edges on the game board.
Where to Put Big Block Shapes on The Board in The Game Woody Puzzle
As the game progresses always try to leave or create large gaps on the game board. I like to always leave an area of at least 3×3 and an area of 1×5. This will ensure that you always have room for any piece that could fill your tray. I know that it is impossible to always have this situation on the game board but strive to have open spaces of these sizes as often as possible just in case you get a large piece.
Always use the smaller pieces to try to open up larger spaces for big pieces. Don’t just slap a small piece the first place it will fit. Try to find a space where you will be able to remove blocks and make room for either a 3×3 block or a 1×5 block.
If you can do this you will score huge scores in the game Woody Puzzle.
Never Leave a Small Space Open, Chances Are You Won’t Get The Piece You Are Hoping For
When playing Woody Puzzle it is important to never leave a small space that only one type of block can fit in. For example, never leave a one unit space open because there is only one type of block that can fit there and chances are you won’t get the exact shape piece you need ever time. If you consistently leave spaces where only one kind of block can fit, you will end up with a lot of spaces you can’t fill and you will eventually run out of room.
Always try to pack the pieces as tightly together as possible so there are no gaps. This will limit the small gaps where only one type of piece can fit. If you use these Woody Puzzle tips you are sure to score higher and maybe even achieve the highest score ever in the game Woody Puzzle.

The game seems to be timed but you made no mention of a timer. Is it timed?
No there isn’t a timer
Then why does it shut me out consistently while I’m playing if the game has no timer? I’m about to delete it from my phone. Too frustrating.
Try not to leave small spaces opened.
You didn’t finish talking about the way to get bonus points!
I guess the only bonus points are if you clear multiple rows or columns. That’s the only way the writer said. If you’ve found out another way, let me know. Thnx.
